Progetto Alpine X, the vision becomes reality

As of winter season 2021-22 visitors will, for the first time ever, be able to cross from BreuilCervinia (ITALY) to Zermatt (Switzerland) and vice-versa without skis, and more importantly without the use of cars!

The cableway connection “Plateau Rosà – Klein Matterhorn” is the realisation of a long-running dream: to tour the Mattehorn admiring the world famous pyramid-like mountain effortlessly! A visionary project, a modern tricable cableway, that will further enhance the Cervino-Matterhorn Ski Paradise’s standing as an extraordinary alpine destination all year round. This project, the highest altitude lift crossing in the Alps, will strengthen our ski resort offer and increase excursion based tourism in the area. The scenic route of one and a half hour from Italy to Switzerland or vice-versa, with an altitude difference of over 4,000 m, will be the greatest in Europe.
